The series contains the minutes of the Convention of the People of the State of Florida (commonly referred to as the Secession Convention). The minutes document the topics discussed and actions taken by the Convention from January 3, 1861 to April 27, 1861 and from January 14, 1862 to January 27, 1862. The minutes also contain reports presented to the members from various committees, resolutions, and the ordinance of secession.
